When Eteri was eight, she, her mother, and her mother’s Dragonite, Fennel, were dragged into the Ghost World. Eteri barely escaped, but her mother and Fennel were trapped on the other side. Four years later, Eteri goes on a journey to find her mother, accompanied by her Galarian Ponyta, Jasmine, and a cursed Alolan boy, Kai, who is followed by a hot-blooded Rowlet and a resentful Haunter.
